C. 1940, Rocking Chair After Peter Cooper for R. W. Winfield (English).
 
Well preserved Peter Cooper for R.W. Winfield rocking chair, circa 1940, based on the famous design first exhibited at the Great Exhibition of 1851.

This later copy from circa 1940 is made from an aluminum base with artificial leather in a shade of green.
 
CONDITION:

Overall this chair is in very good condition.
 
PROVENANCE:

From a private estate in Dorset, where I'm informed that it was in a spare bedroom that was rarely used, with a teddy bear sat on it, for at least twenty five years.
