Finely carved with excellent detailing, this articulated artist's mannequin was finely crafted by a skilled hand in the late 19th century. Carved with fingernails and toenails, softly defined ribs and a beautiful face.
 
Such figures were traditionally used by artists to study human anatomy and pose, making this an invaluable and rare example of 19th-century craftsmanship and functional design.
