Finely carved with excellent detailing, this articulated artist's mannequin was finely crafted by a skilled hand in the mid 19th century. Carved with fingernails and toenails, softly defined ribs and a beautiful face.

Such figures were traditionally used by artists to study human anatomy and pose, making this a rare example of 19th-century craftsmanship and functional design.

CONDITION: Wear commensurate with age. Excellent condition overall.
