Gilt framed, tempera and gold leaf, Russian orthodox religious icon. In the upper part, St. Nicholas of Myra and the Coronation of Mary, in the lower part four, Saints of the Orthodox Church.

Bearing a historic Sotheby's auction code on the rear '297MB', and a historic 'James Stenhouse' framers label, a company that operated in the UK in the late 19th to early 20th century.
