A Charming Mid 19th Century Child's, Ash And Elm Windsor Armchair Having Elegant Hooped Curved Back With Stick Turned Upright Supports Over Attractive Figured Seats, Raised On Elegant Turned Legs And H Stretcher, With Unusual Plain Turned Back Legs.

 

Children' Chairs as the name suggests were made throughout the 18th and 19th centuries and beyond, often as scale models of their full size counterparts for the children of the family to use in all manner of settings and circumstances.

This specific chair has been particulalry well loved throughout its life.

 

PROVENANCE:

 

Purchased directly from a Distinguished Lady from a Prominent Estate in Wiltshire, who at 86-years old, remembers the chair being in the house, and used by her as a child, as well as her older sisters.
