19th Century, Carved Softwood, Carnival Mask Showing Three Faces (German).

Extraordinary, carved softwood and polychrome painted male mask with three interlocking faces showing different facial expressions depending on the angle of view, crowned with a snake.
 
CONDITION:

Minor cracking to left side of face and top of head. Cracks do not go all the way through to the inside.
